Holly (Hilary Swank) and Gerry (Gerard Butler) are happy couple that it lives in a small apartment and that, not yet are decided to have children, even having some years of marriage. They are loved deeply and they taken a good life, in which they do not need anything, and the lack of money is not an impediment to their happiness.
Gerry dies and the life of Holly crumbles when not having to her side to the man who as much mistress. But that won’ t sees for a long time, because in her Holly birthday it receives a letter of Gerry with things and details that will do to feel better. Gerry, before dying, prepares everything a program of activities so that it recovers and follows ahead with her life. Each letter brings with himself but and but surprises and each of them a smile but for the sad Holly.
