Maggie (Cameron Diaz) is a party girl, she doesn’t has a stable life and is unable of keeping a job. While Rose is a organized girl, she is lawyer. Rose (Toni Collete) has a nice boyfriend and nice life, but she is unhappy with her body, so she buys a lot of shoes for delight herself. That’s girls are sisters and have some problems with their controller stepmother and the early death of their mother, so when she dead their grandparents desappear and leave them alone. For her problems Maggie goes to live with Rose, with that beggin the problems because Maggie steal the Rose’s boyfriend. When Maggie is without anyone else she goes to her Grandma (Shirley MacLaine), there discover a new life and the truth of her mother and her family. From now Maggie isn’t a problem for this family, now is the reason of their union.
