Benjamin(Brad Pitt), like that called the boy, has a strange and unkind, so he looks like a person with 80 years, when really recently born. Grew around people like him, old, and little frustated so he can’t play like other kids, but at love atmosphere. With the ancients learned a lot of things, like play piano… and met Daysi(Cate Blanchett), a grandchild of one of them. She was his gamesmate, because she understand him.
With the time Benjamin begin to looks like a young man, and decides to do his own life in other way, Daysi does too. She became a classic ballerina, and he, in a sailor, traveling around the world, even never forget her. So never they can be together, because ever, one or other, had someone or something, that avoided their relationship.
