Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) is a street boy, he always has troubles with the people, he knows and loves to dance, and does it well. One night while was with his friends finding troubles at the street, arrive to a school, Maryland School Arts (MSA), and destroyed everything there, he just wanna have fun, but caps came streak, and catch him, just him, his friends got be free. As punish, he need to clean the school every day, while a time.
Always he acts serious, because that’s not his atmosphere. Tyler just watch the rehearse, and laugh, doesn’t understand why so practice….
Here met Norah Clark (Jenna Dewan), best student at all school, she has perfect movements and lines… now Norah is rehearsing her master piece for her graduation, with it can get a good job at company dance; but her partner get hurt and no one can help her with her piece, Tyler, even being a temporal caretaker, try to helps her to get what she wants. At first was difficult, everybody was against, and he does not have lines, they prepare a best dance ever seeing with both styles.
With this piece grew knowledge about dance for Tyler, but from but grew something else….
