On summer 1994, Luke Shapiro(Josh Peck) is fishing the school, doesn’t has friends, and doesn’t like anyone and anything at the school, he is not popular like others, even he is… everybody buy drugs to him. At home the problems are biggest everyday, maybe someone comes soon to evict them. He goes sometimes with Dr. Jeff Squires(Ben Kingsley), almost ever he goes to sale the grass, but actually he goes because Dr. Squires became in his first friend, he goes to talk.
Recently, Luke is feeling something for Stephanie(Olivia Thrisbly) who is a Squire’s step-daughter. Squires said that she is not good for him, because she gonna play with his heart but he doesn’t matter to to this advice.
Stephanie and Luke begin to date, and time later, Steph leaves Luke, and Luke cannot forget her.
Life learns him how needs to front the bad things that is at his way…
