This Dominican Movie is about a little town where by Father Cardona’s(Koldo) curse, everybody got stomac ache, and diarrhea. Father Cardona was traslated, and, in his place designed other priest, Father Geronimo to solve the mysterious things that are happening in town.

Father Geronimo met the principal family in town, Don Eligio’s(Freddy Beras-Goico) Family, an important landowner, who has a daughter who fall in deep love of Father Geronimo, even she has a boyfriend, Cuso (Sergio Carlo). This situation caused a general rumor, around all town and jelous by Cuso…

Yuniol “Dominican is a 2007 movie directed by prolific director Alfonso Rodriguez, Cassandra was the winner of best film at Dominican this year.

Thanks to a grant, Juan Garcia Perez (aka Yuniol), has the opportunity to study at the same university that Juan Ríos de la Piedra, whom his friends called Junior.

One born in a cradle of gold, the other in a dangerous neighborhood of the upper side of Santo Domingo City.

One is the heir of one of the largest companies in the country, the other is the grandson of one of its employees.

The most prestigious university in Santo Domingo offered the traditional invitation that makes it one of the most prestigious U.S. universities to receive five students for completing a postgraduate course.

The rigid Junior´s mother went to Yuniol to help her son in the review and invited him to spend two weeks at their mansion.

“Yuniol” is a lightweight urban drama, full of laughter and adventures. An entertaining story with a shocking social approach.

Cristiano de la Secreta

Cristiano de la Secreta is a dominican movie directed by Archie Lopez (“Mi novia está de Madre”) and starred by dominican comedian Raymond Pozo who is a young man called Eddy that plays a double life as a christian fellow and a non religious just because he is in love with a girl named Deborah played by pretty actress Nashla Bogaert.

This is the first Dominican movie remake because this film was made in 2002 directed by José García and starred by Ramsés Cairo, this movie wasn’t released in cinemas.

“Cristiano de la Secreta” is a comedy that presents Eddy in different comic situations where he tried to hide his real life as a Christian because he wants to become in a street man (known as “tiguere” in Dominican Republic) and he will try to use any kind of lies looking for this objective.

In the end, the movie pretends to offer a good Christian message to viewers, Evangelist fellows are pleased with its predictable and manipulated ending.

Even this movie has been a huge hit in sells, look like that Dominican movies yet haven’t get out of the same TV formula, using silly plots and actors from this media.

Ladrones a Domicilio

“Thieves at home” is a socio-political satire movie involving the character of Bruno (Manolo Ozuna), a father and a university professor, whose main goal in life is to put forward his family honestly.

Sandra, her eldest daughter, is about to graduate from high school and she and her father harbor the hope of obtaining a fellowship at a prestigious private university.

Days later the university informed him they have suspended scholarship programs.

Determined to give a better education to his daughter, and with the help of his fellow friend Biembo (Johanny Sosa), he took a second job as a driver of a transport company stock.

In his first night of work, he and two other men were used as a decoy by Octavio (Pericles Mejía) high executive of the company to conduct a self-theft, but the cleverness of them and the expertise of Bruno in front of the steering wheel helps them escape with the money…

This is the fourth movie of Dominican director Angel Muñiz after Nueva Yol(1995), Nueva Yol 3:Bajo la nueva ley(1997) and Perico Ripiao(2003) all of them have a combination of comedy and drama, and reflect in a real way many of the problems of the modern Dominican Republic.
