Basic instinct is a 1992 movie directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas.

The plot tells the story of a man that is murdered in his bed. The inspector Curran (Michael Douglas) is in charge of the case. His first suspect is Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone), a very attractive and sensual woman who writes crime novels, and she had had a relationship with the victim.
